If you have a scheduled on campus Exam or In Class Test (ICT) this week and it goes ahead as planned but you are unable to attend due to travel disruption/weather conditions – an EC claim will be approved and no additional evidence will be required but you must apply for an EC, on time (within 5 days of the original exam date).
If your Exam or In Class test is cancelled – no EC claim will be required for the cancelled exam/ICT.
If your Exam/ICT is cancelled and you are advised that it has been re-scheduled, but you cannot attend on the re-scheduled date/time – you must apply for an EC, on time - (within 5 days of the rescheduled exam/ICT date) .Your EC claim form should provide details of the reasons why you cannot attend the new date/time. This will be during term time so you are expected to be available on the new Exam/ICT date. We will make a decision whether to approve the EC claim or not based on information you have provided.
You would be expected to email your module tutor advising them that you cannot attend on the new date/time as soon as you as you receive confirmation of when this has been scheduled. You should provide a copy of this email to support your EC claim but you may also be asked for additional supporting information depending on the reasons given for not being able to attend the new exam time.
EC claims should be submitted on time and for late claims the usual requirements for evidence to support the reasons for lateness will be required.
